The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today received the delegation of the National Academy of Art of China that is visiting our Region, with the help of the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation, to learn about the works and initiatives of the Mula Painted House and the public art program of Murcia, a concept in which the capital of Segura is a reference as an open and open-air museum, with works and sculptures on the street.
The delegation was led by the president of the National Academy of Fine Arts of China, Long Xiang, the first and most important art university in the country, which this year celebrates its centenary, and which has its national headquarters -located in the city of Hangzhou- with a sculpture by the Muleño artist Cristóbal Gabarrón, which served as a tribute to the G-20 world meeting of last 2016.
The reception was attended by professors and specialists from the art world of the cities of Hangzhou, Beijing and Sichuan (Hong Kong), as well as the president of the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation, Cris Gabarrón, and the director and CEO of this organization international, Juan M. Gabarrón.
