The Governing Board has approved the collaboration agreement with the Ministry of the Presidency for the provision of the service of prevention and extinction of forest fires planned in the Infomur Plan.

Thus, the Civil Protection Service will have two mobile posts composed of a couple of volunteers for each of them (four volunteers per day) with flexible and variable hours between 12 am and 8 pm.

These two mobile forest monitoring posts will cover two routes:

Route 1: Puerto del Garruchal, Camino de los Puros, Camino del El Relojero, El Sequen, La Balsa and El Valle, Sanctuary of La Fuensanta, Cresta del Gallo, Forest Road, Los Garres.

Route 2: Corvera, La Murta, Astronomical Observatory, Pico del Águila, Corvera, Venta El Garruchal, Cabezo de la Plata.

The functions that will develop include from discovering foci or indications of possible fires;

until monitoring the different zones, geographically locating the detected foci, signaling the access to the area of ​​the fire and communicating quickly and effectively the information to the CECARM.

In this plan, which establishes a period of high fire danger until September 30, the Ecological Patrol of the Local Police, composed of a corporal and 8 agents, patrols of the Decentralization Unit, supporting the former, especially at night, and the Fire and Rescue Extinction Service, which will also be reinforced daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. by 4 more personnel (3 firemen and 1 driver), until a total of 41 are received daily.

The affected area is 30,368 hectares of forest in the municipality of Murcia of the Regional Park of Carrascoy and El Valle and special protection areas for birds (ZEPA) in El Valle and Sierra de Altaona and Escalona.
