The University of Murcia is ranked between 101 and 125 in the ranking of the best European universities in terms of teaching excellence, according to the European ranking of education 2018, prepared by Times Higher Education (THE).
This ranking attempts to analyze several indicators of the four basic pillars of action in university education: resources, commitment, results and environment.
The study is conducted through surveys of students who examine aspects such as commitment to their studies, their interaction with teachers, the quality of the institution's services and opportunities to develop attitudes that will help prepare for future work after university life
The University of Murcia has obtained a note clearly above the Spanish average in the level of Recommendation, Quality and Learning.
With respect to the traditional measurement parameters of the ranking, the UMU is classified in the range 601-800, the grade obtained has improved in results that refer to teaching, the number of appointments and international projection.
The University of Murcia is located in the 15th position of the 42 Spanish universities that appear, since not all have passed the filter in order to be qualified.
That position places it at the same level as others like Salamanca, the Basque Country, Santiago or Granada.
The 2018 classification is based on the results of a survey involving 30,000 European students based on 13 performance indicators.
The UMU stands out in the category "Environment", which measures topics such as gender equality (80'6 out of 100) and in "Commitment" (73,5), a category that measures the degree of satisfaction of the students themselves.
The UMU also excels in parameters such as Quality, Learning and recommendation of the university to other students.
