In his presentation, he highlighted the progress of the different projects put in place for the recovery of spaces for citizens who are endowed with a high transforming power of the municipality.
Thus, about the Old Prison has explained that this space "has no limits as it will permeate and mimic the city, will not have schedules and will be enjoyed by everyone whether children, youth, adults and seniors."
The councilor recalled that "this month has been delivered, by the drafting team, the Basic Plan that unifies the header phase and the subsequent body and is already working on the project works of the head, according to the forecasts, start work before the end of the year. "
These works have a budget of 2.1 million euros and a deadline of 12 months.
The San Esteban field "already has its Master Plan and the drafting of the Special Plan that affects the entire perimeter is being finalized as it is an Asset of Cultural Interest".
Perez explained that "the contribution of 2.1 million euros from the Ministry of Development will allow the tender of the project contest that could be awarded in the month of January, and from September begin the work of excavation, dating , and musealization of the areas of the fonduq, oratory and cemetery while at the same time an old original street layout will be enabled so that the residents of Murcia can know firsthand their history and how the works and scientific studies are progressing ".
Regarding the pedestrianization of Alfonso X, the councilor stressed that "the timetable of the work is being fulfilled millimeter-wise, the first phase has been completed and in the next few days work will begin on the side of the Jesús María School. , the works of the first phase from Jaime I to the Plaza Santo Domingo will be completed in November. "
Pérez has announced that "we want to overlap the completion of the works of this first phase with the start of the work of the second phase, from Jaime I to the Plaza Circular, so the project is already under contract with a bidding budget. of 3,100,000 euros ".
