At the end of June, researchers from the four university institutions that make up the consortium of the 'Erasmus + K2 Refugium' project, led by the University of Murcia, and in which the University of Salerno (Italy), the University of Lund, collaborate (Sweden) and the ICSTE of Lisbon (Portugal), participated in the Asylum in Sweden training activity, the perspective of refugees and government organizations, held at the Universities of Lund and Malmö.
During the different sessions, the members of the team were able to learn about the characteristics and transformations of the Swedish asylum system, the work developed by different organizations working with refugees and applicants for international protection, as well as the experience and career of unaccompanied minors residing in Sweden.
This activity is part of the training activities developed from the project 'Refugees, Education and Rights', which has among its specific objectives the promotion of greater knowledge about the conflicts that have generated the current forced displacements, as well as the situation of refugees in Europe.
