It has also approved the construction of five bike lanes, the extension of the interpretation center of the archaeological site of the Wall of Santa Eulalia, the rehabilitation of the Artillery Barracks and the works of the La Paz children's school, whose global budget amounts to to 8.1 million euros, of which Europe contributes 80%.
Murcia has an injection of 14.7 million euros from the Operative Program for sustainable growth 2014-2020.
The Governing Board has today authorized six definitive steps that will allow European funding to develop the actions of the city strategy.
Specifically, the agreements consist of the approval of other operations for a total budget of 8,180,000 euros.
Murcia will receive a total investment of 17.5 million euros for the development of the project 'IT Murcia: Innovation and Tradition', of which 14.7 million (80% of the total investment) corresponds to the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy Murcia - Innovation and Tradition of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF 2014-2020) and the remaining 20% ​​will be municipal co-financing.
So far, the Governing Board has already approved 10 operations, which amount to a total of 14.9 million euros.
Specifically, the files processed today are:
- Project for the execution of five bike lanes in the urban area of ​​Murcia and adjacent areas.
Line of action 2: Sustainable Mobility.
Budget of 2,225,000 euros
- Project for the rehabilitation of pavilion 1 of the Artillery Barracks.
Line of action 5: Physical, economic and social regeneration of disadvantaged neighborhoods.
Budget of 1,815,000 euros.
- Project for the rehabilitation of pavilion 2 of the Artillery Barracks.
Line of action 5: Physical, economic and social regeneration of disadvantaged neighborhoods.
Budget of 1,553,000 euros.
- Basic project of execution of tourist itinerary of the Wall of Murcia.
Line of action 3: Valorization of the urban heritage elements and of the Huerta as tourist-cultural element.
Budget of 387,000 euros.
- Basic execution project of Extension of the Interpretation Center of the Archaeological Ensemble of the Wall of Santa Eulalia.

Budget 1,200,000 euros.
- Execution of works of La Paz Children's School in Murcia.

The step completed today is an essential step to obtain the funding that has been granted to Murcia to develop the city strategy.
This same month of June, the Governing Board adopted a similar agreement with four other operations related to the projects of adequacy of the Segura river mote right bank for recreational use, plantation of plant species on the left bank of the Segura river, urban stretch ;
the river walk of the Segura river between the footbridge of Manterola and the Autovía de Murcia and its connection with the walk and pedestrianization of Alfonso X El Sabio.
