Murcia will live a summer full of activities so that you can enjoy the evenings and nights of July and August.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco, explained that "different councils have worked with effort to offer an extensive free program that will be developed almost every day in different streets of the urban area and enclaves of the garden "
The collaboration between the councils of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Urbanism, Environment, Water and Garden and Sports and Health has allowed the creation of small thematic cycles on film, music, sports , art...
Thus, Mondays will be dedicated to sports activities with games of search, personal defense workshop, yoga, popular games or pilates.
Murcia can participate on Tuesdays, at 20 hours, on cultural visits to different areas of the garden such as the Malecón, the wheel of La Ñora, Monteagudo or the mills of La Pólvora, del Amor or Batán.
Wednesdays will be dedicated to the youngest with the cycle 'Wednesdays youngest' in which will take place performances of singer-songwriters and groups of the CreaMurcia contest, such as Adiós Nicole, Stupid Flanders or Meatpies, among others, which will end with a tasting of slushies.
The objective is to offer a form of alternative leisure and to know Murcia's talent with young artists.
The concerts will start at 10.30 pm and will be held in different parts of the town.
On Thursdays, at 9:30 p.m., you can attend concerts in different squares with 'Murcia in the open air' and enjoy traditional movies with 'Clásicos al fresco'.
Also on Thursdays, at 7.30 pm, there will be an art cycle with outdoor painting classes in emblematic places of the huerta such as the Palmeral de Santiago and Zaraíche, the Monteagudo Visitors Center, the Rue de la Ñora or the Sanctuary of the Fuensanta among others.
All this programming will be complemented with the I Festival Murcia al Son (on Saturday June 30 in the Plaza Belluga) with the performances of Achaman, Young Sabandeños, La Trova del Llano and El Son del Malecon the retransmission of the opera 'Lucia de Lammermoor 'from the Teatro Real (Saturday July 7, at the Puertas de Castilla) or the Folklore Festival that will take place from 9 to 14 July.
