The UCAM trusts that the municipal commission created will be the instrument to solve the serious situation to which it is submitting to this institution for three years, since after making a heavy investment in these lands in the northern area of ​​the campus (Special Plan GU-Ñr3), in which he has done the complete work of urbanization with authorization of City Council and Ministry of Culture, he was prevented from continuing with the work just at the time of beginning the construction of educational facilities (February 2016), planned in a respectful way with the environment and preserving the hegemony of the Jerónimos Monastery, recovered and rehabilitated by this institution.
These facilities are aularios, laboratories, a sports complex or the Incubator of Technology in Health, Sport and Nutrition, obtained with FEDER funds through the Incyde Foundation to develop applied research to companies and Murcia society, and that will have the leadership of researcher Juan Carlos Izpisua, professor at this University.
This decision to stop is contrary to the law, deprives the foundation of exercising its legitimately acquired rights and violates the agreements reached.
The action of the administration has up to now caused millionaire losses to the University Foundation San Antonio and a serious loss in the provision of the services demanded by society.
Solving this situation should serve to avoid problems of greater magnitude.
