The University of Murcia celebrates this Thursday, June 28, the 25th anniversary of the first promotion of engineers in Computer Science, which will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Computing, at 6 pm.
During the ceremony, in addition, the FIUM 2018 prize will be presented to Nuria Oliver, director of Research in 'Data Science' at Vodafone.
Oliver is one of the most important women in the field of information technology.
She was the first woman to run an R & D center at Telefónica and has received awards such as the European Digital Woman Award or the Ángela Robles National Computer Award.
The event will be attended, among others, by Francisco Javier Martínez Méndez, vice-rector of Quality, Culture and Communication of the UMU;
Pedro Miguel Ruiz Martínez, dean of the Faculty of Informatics;
and Juan Salvador Castejón Garrido, dean of the Professional College of Computer Engineers of the Region of Murcia.
