More than 130 people show their solidarity by donating blood on the morning of the Marathon of Murcia (21/06/2018)

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and municipal councilors have participated today in the III Blood Donation Marathon of Murcia, in which until 13.00 noon had already accounted for more than 130 voluntary donations whose contribution will guarantee the reserves of Murcia hospitals this summer.

Coinciding with the World Blood Donor Day, this III Marathon, organized thanks to the collaboration between the City Council, the Hemodonation Center and Radio Murcia-Cadena SER, will run for a total of 10 hours: from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm from 4.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

The mayor called on all Murcia to be encouraged in the remainder of the day to "donate life."

Ballesta has stressed that "the donation of blood is one of the most generous and free gestures of the human being, generous because there is no other source of blood only the free and voluntary gesture of the human being and because in Spain there is no remuneration for this type It is also an element of equality because when you donate you do not know who will benefit from that blood.
