The Santa Quiteria Palace will renew its outdoor exhibition with works related to the summer of 14 artists |
The art market 'La Mudanza' will return on Saturday, June 30, from 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm, proposing a day of coexistence between artists and art lovers, coinciding with the changes of the exhibitions of the open-air museum of the Santa Quiteria palace , from the Santa Eulalia neighborhood.
Painters, illustrators and sculptors will be able to present, sell and do live demonstrations of their work in this art market, as long as they meet the necessary requirements.
To participate, artists must register in advance on the website eventos.murcia.es.
The sites will be distributed by order of registration, artists must be at 18 hours for the assembly of their space.
The City of Murcia will offer tables so that they can place their works and make exhibitions.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, explained that "the name of 'La Mudanza' refers to change, it evokes dynamism, movement and activity, agitation, a performance characteristic of the DNA projection phase- Urban of Santa Eulalia, where neighbors and artists are involved, this event takes place in Santa Eulalia because it is where the open-air museum of Santa Quiteria is located, icon and symbol of 'La Mudanza' and because it is the neighborhood of the artists, with identification plates of the same, where numerous workshops and houses of painters and relevant sculptors of Murcia were located ".
The initiative is carried out four times a year, every quarter, coinciding on a Sunday of the change of season (spring, summer, autumn and winter), except in summer, which takes place on Saturday afternoon to avoid hot hours.
The requirements to participate are the following:
- Be an artist of the following disciplines: painting, sculpture, illustrator or graphic design expert.
- Arriving at the established time (18 hours), if you arrive after 30 minutes of this hour, participation in this art market is not guaranteed.
- The City of Murcia will offer tables for the installation of works.
The artists can take everything they consider necessary to exhibit their artistic pieces: easels, posters, ...
- The artists will be able to carry out demonstrations or workshops in their assigned space.
- The artists will pick up at the established time, not beforehand.
- Artists must register until June 29 at 2:00 p.m.
For its part, the outdoor exhibition of the Santa Quiteria Palace will be renewed on Tuesday, July 10, with works related to the summer of 14 artists: Amparo Alegría, Dictinio de Castillo, Juan Espallardo, José María Falgas, Ángel García Masiá, Marisel Garrido, Gaby Guillén, Kraser, Antonio Mengual Martínez, José Hurtado Mena, José Miguel Masiá, Manuel Menárguez, Manolo Pardo and Fernando Sáenz.
These works will be painted outdoors on the day of 'La mudanza'.
