The Government Board today approved the tender for three new bike lane projects in the environment of Rector Loustau and Obispo Frutos, the urban center and Ronda Sur.
They add more than 5,000 meters of bike lanes, with an investment of more than 1 million euros and an execution period of 5 months.
In the next few days the construction works of other routes that will link from the Redonda to the Fica and to Manterola, with a branch from Díez de Revenga to Avenida de los Pinos, totaling a length of 7.5 kilometers, begin.
Discurren por el centro de la ciudad y en su diseño se ha procurado que sus recorridos sean fundamentalmente en línea recta, sin rodeos innecesarios, mallando la red de carriles bici existente y proyectada, y priorizando a la bici sobre otros medios de transporte.
