The City of Murcia, through the Department of Sports and Health directed by Felipe Coello, the Athletics Federation of Murcia and the Murcia Murcia Tovarsport have presented the LXIV Championship of Spain Sub 20 Murcia.

It will take place on the weekend of June 23 and 24, hosting the best national athletes of the category at the Monte Romero Stadium (Campus Universitario de Espinardo).

More than 700 athletes will participate and the last tickets will be decided to the 17th U20 World Championship, which will be held July 10 to 15 in Tampere (Finland).

"In this event we will have top-level athletes from all over Spain in the U20 category, athletes from our region will also participate, in an event that will attract 700 national runners, who will leave marks for the world championship. to be able to learn and enjoy professional athletics "commented Felipe Coello.

Big names from the category will participate, such as Sergio López, of the Nutribán Sociedad Atlética de Alcantarilla and his club mate, José Antonio Maldonado, bronze outdoors last summer.

The Yeclano Alejando Ortuño will also be present in 3,000 meters of obstacles, outdoor bronze medal and athlete from Playas de Castellón.
