The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, has once again demanded that the local government act with more foresight, control and oversight of expenses and reduce considerably the number of smaller contracts.
Gómez has returned to influence this issue after reading the audit report of the Court of Auditors that refers to the City of Murcia, specifically, the home delivery service.
When this contract ended, the Consistory used the figure of the minor contract while resolving the incidents on its new processing, finally, the City Council executed the benefit outside of contractual coverage during a period of almost two months, before the repairs of intervention to formalize a new additional minor contract.
According to the Cs spokesman, "these irregularities occur regularly, both by the Government of José Ballesta and previous teams, acting with a lack of foresight and rigor, as was again highlighted in the last plenary session where they had that raise objections from previous exercises. "
"If these practices were already taking place during the House Government, José Ballesta's has not come to change things precisely, maintaining the same modus operandi during this term," he lamented.
Thus, Gomez has put as an example of this type of practice the public lighting contract, which once completed was extended by decree for a few months outside the law. He also made reference to the lack of foresight with which the PP acted with the service of 010, the Ramón Gaya or the recent contract for the maintenance, conservation and repair service of the municipal housing park.
On the other hand, the orange spokesman has mentioned the abusive use of local government with minor contracts, "making these the general rule and not the exception as the Public Sector Contracts Act, increasing the costs of the City Council and avoiding the principles of publicity, transparency, equality and competitive competition ".
"From Ciudadanos," he underlined, "we continue to defend a much more efficient administration that optimizes spending and reduces the minor contracts that cause cronyism and the maintenance of clientelist networks, as recommended by the EU."
More resources
For this reason, the orange training has once again transferred to the local government "the need to provide more material and human resources to the municipal intervention service so that the proper execution of the files can be guaranteed, both in their previous steps and in their control later, preventing the governments of the day from evading the Law ".
