The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, through the concessionaire STV Gestión, has carried out improvement works in the green areas of the Artillery Barracks.
"What we have mainly sought has been a facelift of the different green areas, for which we have reseeded several areas of grass, placed a perimeter fence around some ficus to prevent access to the interior, as well as planted many new species more according to the area and the environmental conditions of Murcia, in this way we respond to local demands ", explains the mayor of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén.
These works have consisted in the integral reform of three parterres in which they have placed fifty hundred juniper bushes, a thousand creeping plants, several copies of palm hearts and pine bark to reduce the impact of people on the plants and beautify the area.
The remodeling of the green areas of the Artillery Barracks has been carried out for two weeks by several teams composed of four people.
The City Council, through the concessionaire company STV Gestión, seeks to continue caring for and maintaining the different green areas of Murcia and districts, while launching a message of support to citizens to keep and maintain these newly renovated spaces in good condition.
