The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, and members of the Regional Federation of Murcian Students (Feremur), visited the Río Segura library on the occasion of the opening of the municipal study centers on weekends, coinciding with the exam period and the start of the new university entrance exam, EBAU.
José Ballesta stressed that "students have more than 850 reading and study positions open on weekends, also enjoying a free Wi-Fi service, both in the city and in districts."
In this regard, he stressed that "university students are the ones who make the greatest use of facilities, since they are now facing final exams and, from the City Council, we want to support them with adequate facilities and a quality service, which also includes Free WIFI".
The libraries that will open their doors from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday are: Beniaján, Cabezo de Torres, Pelagio, El Raal and La Alberca.
While those of Espinardo, Segura River, San Basilio, Bacons Bridge and La Alberca will do it from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during Sundays.
To the 550 study stations of the libraries, there are more than 300 of the Municipal Study Rooms open 24 hours: Alquerías, Cobatillas, Los Dolores, Los Martínez del Puerto, Sangonera la Seca, Sangonera la Verde and the Study Room and Youth Association of Torreagüera.
In this way, the service offered to students from neighborhoods and districts to prepare exams is extended.
