The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Modernization and Urban Development, José Guillén, and members of the Municipal Corporation, today presided over the tribute to the retired officials on the occasion of the feast of their patron saint, Santa Rita, which took place this past May 22.
In total, about fifty municipal employees were honored.
"Those who develop your professional life in the municipal sphere have the advantage of seeing how your work has a direct, immediate and close impact on the well-being of all Murcians," said José Ballesta, who added that "thanks to you our streets they are safe, our gardens are cared for and social work is provided to those people who need it the most, because your work does not understand differences or ideologies, you work for everyone equally ".
"Today we want to recognize all your vital and professional career as public servants, your dedication and daily effort at the service of Murcia and an institution that has been working for the interests of the residents of this municipality for 752 years now," said the mayor. .
