Alfonso Burgos Risco, director and professor of Fine Arts at the University of Murcia, offers this afternoon the conference 'From the UMU to Hollywood', which will take place in the Hall of Degrees of the Faculty of Communication and Documentation, at 18 hours.
Burgos has directed several documentaries such as 'La Memoria de las Manos', winner of 9 international awards;
among others, best foreign documentary at the Los Angeles Independent Film Awards and Best Feature Film at the International Independent Documentary Film Awards in Hollywood.
He has also directed 'Pedro Cano Cuadernos de Viaje', composed of two documentaries on the exchange of knowledge and experience between the artist Pedro Cano and students of Fine Arts, within the framework of a teaching innovation project coordinated by the professors Carmen Castillo Moriano and Alfredo Cuervo Pando.
The project harvests fourteen international awards among which are the Best Trailer at the United International Film Festival in New York and Best Inspiring Film at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
In the talk, the director will review his training, initial projects and the process of creating the great projects that have highlighted the University of Murcia as a pioneer university in the production of audiovisual cultural content of international impact.
The talk is mainly aimed at students, graduates and professionals interested in how to develop and guide this type of project.
