The University of Murcia has presented the prizes to the winners of the Geology Olympiad.

In this edition the students that have been recognized are:

Prize: Álvaro Martínez Martínez and Antonio Ángel Sánchez.

Second prize: María García Penalva.

Third prize: Carmen Ruiz López.

In the category of schools, the institutes IES Ramón Arcas Meca de Lorca, the IES Diego Tortosa de Cieza and the San Juan de la Cruz de Caravaca were recognized.

The event, which was attended by the Director General of Universities, Juan Monzó, ended with the conference Forensic Geology: Science against crime, by the professor at the University of Murcia Carmen Pérez Sirvent.
