Seven study rooms will be open 24 hours for all students |
The study rooms service of the Municipal Library Network of the municipality of Murcia will expand its opening hours starting on May 26, on the occasion of the next examination session in schools, colleges or universities.
Thus, on Saturdays and Sundays, from the 26th to the 10th of June, according to call for exams of the academic calendar 2017/2018 of the University of Murcia, the municipal public libraries of Murcia open from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays) in Beniaján, Cabezo de Torres and El Raal.
In Espinardo, Segura River, San Basilio, Bacons Bridge and La Alberca, the hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
"We offer about 600 study places in our libraries, with schedules that will allow us to extend the hours of study of our young people for the exams", highlighted the Councilor for Education, Rafael Gómez.
Added to this are the 24-hour study rooms, with more than 300 study places, in Alquerías, Cobatillas, Los Dolores, Los Martínez del Puerto, Sangonera la Seca, Sangonera la Verde and Torreagüera Young Associations and study rooms with specific schedule in Cultural Centers of Monteagudo and Santo Ángel.
Finally, it should be noted that on Saturday afternoons and Sundays, during this period, no library services will be provided, but the returns of document loans will be accepted.
The opening responds to the demand of the young students of FEREMUR who requested the extension of study schedules in rooms and libraries of the municipality.
