The Vice Chancellor of International Relations and Communication of the Catholic University of Murcia, Pablo Blesa, will attend on behalf of the UCAM the IV International Meeting of Rectors Universia, which is celebrated coinciding with the VIII Centenary of the University of Salamanca and will offer, under the motto "University, Society and Future", a space for debate in which experts from around the world will delve into the keys of the University, its present and immediate future.
The event will be attended by academic representatives, personalities of politics, business, and national and international institutions.
His Majesty the King Don Felipe and the President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will preside over the inauguration of the IV International Meeting of University Rectors.
In addition, they will be accompanied, among other personalities, by the Secretary General of the OECD, Ángel Gurría, and the president of Universia and Banco Santander, Ana Botín.
The conclusions of the debate will be reflected in the 'Declaration of Salamanca', with the commitment of the authorities and representatives of the teaching institutions attending so that the University advances, through concrete actions, in consonance with the needs of 21st century society.
