The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development, directed by José Guillén, has begun to install the shading system in the streets of Platería and Trapería and its surroundings, which has been installed in recent years with great reception.
Thus, the awnings are already being placed in order to favor the pedestrian walk in this commercial area of the city that is very busy in the streets Plateria, Trapería, San Cristóbal and squares Joufré, Puxmarina and Esteve Mora.
It must be remembered that the fixed sacking has a microperforated fabric canvas, which guarantees its durability, easy maintenance and fire resistance, at a minimum height of 4.5 meters.
In addition, the clamping is done again with tensioned steel cable, thus making the cover more aesthetic.
The councilor of Jose Guillen stressed that "we continue to bet on returning to our streets if historical character, since at the beginning of the twentieth century and had awnings, which goes beyond a merely practical action to reduce the impact of the sun."
Sombraje in Squares and Gardens
These actions are added to those that have been developed in recent months to provide shadow spaces in different squares and gardens of the municipality.
Thus, the Ñora, the Garden of Fofó, Lobosillo and the Garden of the Three Cups have been the last to join the twenty interventions made from the Department of Modernization of Urban Administration and Development.
The next ones to have shaded areas will be Junterones, Pintos Mariano Ballestero and San Benito.
