The University of Murcia held the imposition of promoting scholarship 2004-2010 for the Degree in Medicine at a ceremony attended by 140 students who received their diplomas from the hands of Vice Chancellor for Institutional Relations and Health Sciences, Manuel Vidal, and the Minister of Health, María de los Ángeles Palacios.
At the event, the Lilly Endowment gave the students for their tenth anniversary copies of the book of Sir William Osler Medical "Lifestyle", a work that shows a view of the medical profession as a compendium of scientific and human.
With this gift which is considered the most influential doctor in the teaching and development of medical practice in the last century, the Foundation has sought to convey to future doctors the importance of human values and personal assistance patients.
The ceremony, held at the Faculty of Medicine, also included the imposition of scholarships to teachers in this center who have retired during the year: Manuel Claver Sainz-Nolla, José Antonio Lozano Teruel, José Martos Gutierrez, Sebastian Mendez Trujillo and Mariano Pérez Albacete.
Also, during the ceremony, the students of the promotions offered to the godfather and godmother, teachers and Luisa Vicente Vicente Ortega Giménez García, and tenor Juan Gallego played "The Mission" by Ennio Morricone.
