The 17 International Congress of Innovation and New Product Development, where he will discuss the latest scientific advances in this field and present the most relevant research work is taking place for the first time in Spain, in the University of Murcia on 14 and June 15.
The organizer of the Congress, Professor Department of Marketing and Markets, José Luis Munuera, said today at the press conference presentation, which increased about 40% of communications with respect to the previous edition is a clear indicator success of this event.
In addition to the 157 papers to be presented in Congress, and have selected a total of 353, another indicator, he added Munuera, are the 240 teachers than thirty nationalities and the thirty companies that will meet in the Faculty of Economics and Business.
Participants include scientists from institutions such as Harvard Business School, the Polytechnic of Milan, Copenhagen Business School, and the Universities of Dublin, Twente, Delft and Indiana, among others.
In the presentation ceremony, held in convalescence, home of the Rector of the University of Murcia, Professor Munuera said the theme of the Congress, how to improve the process of development of new products by companies, can serve lever for raising awareness about the importance of innovation.
In this regard, said that innovation in products is becoming a key competitive factor in times of crisis, so that companies that opt for it are on a smaller decline in revenues.
The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, showed the satisfaction of the institution for hosting this important international meeting and praised the dynamism of the Department of Marketing and Market.
The Congress, which has become the leading global meeting point for international research on issues of innovation and new product development, will be opened by the rector on Monday 14 at 10:15 pm in the Faculty of Economics and Business.
