The Senate of the University of Murcia has an honorary doctorate to Professor Emeritus of Law, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands Hans Ankum, Professor Emeritus of Social Anthropology at the Complutense Carmelo Lison, and Professor of Communication at the University of Sheffield Tom English Wilson.
Teacher's academic merit Ankum were highlighted by the Roman law professor Antonio Díaz Bautista, who said that in his long life has been dedicated not only to carry out teaching and research, but also to act as Member of Parliament Netherlands.
Díaz Bautista added that he is in possession of several awards, including that of being a Knight of the Order of the Lion of the Netherlands.
For his part, Professor Luis Alvarez stressed the merits of Carmelo Lison, which he said was the founder of Social Anthropology in Spain and is "a master teacher."
Lison has directed a dozen PhD theses, he said, and has presided over seven other courts at the University of Murcia, in addition to participating in activities of this institution, and in courses of the Universidad del Mar.
The academic career Tom Wilson was exposed by the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Information, José Vicente Rodríguez, who emphasized that the center leader as dean has always enjoyed strong support and collaboration.
