Unión Progreso y Democracia in the city of Murcia is against the approval of concessions to provide services for periods exceeding 2 years.
"This formula prevents good reviews, and should be able to be renewed depending on the quality of services provided by the companies awarded" said Reuben Serna, head of UPyD in Murcia.
UPyD recalled that in recent Governing Board has been agreed the adoption of interim awards worth € 1,700,000, which are all within 4 years and the same company, for services rendered in different pools in the municipality.
"No doubt the correct correspondence between the services and financial support, but unless those actions that require significant investments in infrastructure concessions services should correspond to shorter periods."
This is a step towards that UPyD proposes to capitalize on budgets and at the same time serve to require companies awarded a constant level of quality services to the municipality, and if not, can proceed to change business without too many legal and administrative obstacles.
