The Malecón garden has now become the best possible showcase to meet environmental management that takes place in the town and at the same time, promoting the commitment of all citizens in relation to the environment and sustainable development.
The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accompanied by the responsibility for the environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, and the presence of the Director General of the Environment, Paul Fernandez, have come to the Malecon for, as every year, support this initiative by their presence .
On this occasion, the commemoration of World Environment Day focuses on the theme 'Many species.

A future. "
Throughout the day it will happen a full program of activities in which visitors can participate.
To make this possible, the City has been sponsored Cespa, Caja Murcia Mediterranean waters and the collaboration of Ikea Murcia, Urbaser, EEA, Terra Natura, UCAM and Ministry of Agriculture and Water.
Among the possibilities for training, information and entertainment gathered in the garden of the Malecón are:
- The show 'bike.
Transportation Solutions' Terra Foundation, in collaboration with CAM, which spread the different possibilities of this vehicle as a sustainable transport system.
- Gift to the visitors from traditional crops huertanos that can be transplanted in a pot, and other spices.

- The Ministry of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia distributed copies of some of the native trees that populate the mountains, in addition to the participation of the brigades of Environmental Agents.
