Begins spraying for mosquitoes (04/06/2010)

The Department of Health, which runs Fulgencio Cervantes, begins next Monday, June 7, spraying against mosquitoes because they have detected the clouds of these insects by rising temperatures.

Two teams of two people each, with smoke cannons distributed insecticide, will be responsible for this task.

The spraying will begin at 7 pm in the Pasarela Manterola (start of the Malecon) and traveling will both banks of the river to the bridge of La Fica.

The teams also fumigated Plaza Camacho and La Glorieta.

The insecticide is harmless to people.

The fumigation work will last one hour and hour and a half.

The operation is repeated during the week, depending on the number of mosquitoes that are detected.
