The winners of the regional Chemistry Olympiad have won a gold medal, three silver and one honorable mention in the national phase, held in Seville.
This is Alejandro Marín Parra, San Buenaventura school of Murcia, which has achieved the Gold Medal, and Pedro Antonio Martínez Mediano, the Institute of El Bohio (Cartagena), Jesus Gallego Ocáriz of Isaac Peral (Cartagena) and Javier Piqueras Carreño, San Buenaventura school who have achieved the Silver Medal.
For its part, the Honorable Mention was awarded to José Ramón Bermejo Climent, the Jesus and Mary School of Murcia.
The regional stage of the Chemistry Olympiad is organized annually by the Association and the Association of Chemists of Murcia.
In addition, the School of Informatics, University of Murcia hosts on Monday 31 May at 13:00 hours, the awards ceremony of the VIII Olympiad Program Murcia.
The team of Carlos Pérez, Angel Pina and James Pina won first prize in a competition involving more than 40 students of the Informatics and Mathematics degrees and held in the laboratories of the faculty.
This team, along with which came in second, formed by Jordi Campos, Ignacio Garcia and Sandra Martinez will compete in the International Programming Contest ACM ICPC, which will face the best college programs in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Austria.
