The second phase of the work of the Local Police Headquarters in La Alberca will begin shortly.
43 students-employees of the municipal Workshop School carried out this work in order to improve their skills and professionalism while conducting practice.
This initiative is promoted by the Department of Employment, Civil Protection and Cooperation, headed Beatriz Hontoria.
The 43 student-workers carried out construction work, painting and stucco, masonry and restoration, joinery and carpentry, metalwork and wrought iron, garden and environment, renewable energy and electricity and plumbing, heating and solar thermal energy.
This project has a duration of two years and aims to improve the chances of finding a job for unemployed youth.
Students aged between 16 and 25 and no job.
The local police station being built on city-owned parcel located between the street Carlos Valcárcel in La Alberca and the motorway.
The 43 students will finish the work, which already has a concrete structure, which was conducted in the first phase of the project.
The headquarters has an area of 2,473 square meters, distributed in the basement, ground floor and three floors.
The building is accessible for people with reduced mobility and has systems to save water and energy.
This Training Workshop is co-financed by the city of Murcia, the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community and the European Social Fund.
The SEF provides about 1.2 billion euros and 600,000 euros City.
The project also promotes job creation as both the student-workers, and teachers and staff are responsible for the work contracted by the City.
According to studies conducted by the Employment Service, job placement is expected to average over 60%.
