The Governing Council authorized the grant of separate grants to the University of Murcia with a total value of 5,500,000 euros, to be allocated to infrastructure, equipment and other university investments.
On the one hand, the regional government has approved a grant of 4,000,000 euros to finance investment expenditure on infrastructure, equipment and other investments in the University Campus of Health Sciences in the framework of the 2007-2011 financing of public universities in the Region of Murcia.
The grant is earmarked for capital investments for this campus, as well as specific actions of the first phase, the termination of the Building Department (Departments and offices of professors and researchers), the Biomedical Research Laboratory (Laib), and in the second construction phase, and equipment, especially the design, supply and installation of laboratory trays.
Also, with this grant will address the architectural design of the building of laboratories for teaching and research practices of students.
Until now the Autonomous Region in three years, has allocated around 12 million euros to the University of Murcia for the implementation of this campus on a total forecast in the funding agreement until the year 2011 of EUR 17,600,000 .
It has also been approved another grant to the University of Murcia in the amount of 1,500,000 euros for investment in infrastructure costs, equipment and other associated university investment plan established financial balance in the Funding Agreement 2007-2011 Universities Public Murcia.
This subsidy applies to the needs of the university to complete the construction, adaptation and equipping of spaces associated with new infrastructure.
