Joaquim Puig i Sadurní, a researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, will offer today, May 20 at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Murcia, a conference on operators of quasi-periodic Schrödinger.
This young teacher is known for the famous conjecture solved "the problem of the ten martinis, which won him the" José Luis Rubio de Francia "in 2005.
Joaquín Puig proved that the energy aspect of a quantum system has a Cantorian structure, ie that all points of this system are close to points outside the set as you want.
The problem was formulated over 40 years and is so named because an American mathematician promised to invite 10 martinis to whoever solved.
The conference, which starts at 17:00 hours, is part of the activities of the Seminar of the Faculty of Mathematics.
