The magazine "Papers of Geography at the University of Murcia article devotes its latest issue to risk movement that occurs in the hill of Ope Archena and that urban planning should prevent this county.
The article, by María Dolores Gómez and María del Carmen Granell, notes the landslides in the hill and how the subsidiary legislation of 1989 urban land classified as almost all of its environment, invading even the slope of the hill.
In the slope lies the most dangerous component blocks to withstand large detached before escarpment, which are easily barefoot in torrential rain events, as well as destabilized by earthquakes.
For future risk, the authors recommend avoiding the danger and vulnerability of the residents of these areas contemplating the consideration of this risk in urban planning, as well as raise public awareness of this problem.
On the hill of Ope, the article notes, there is no record of losses, but there is a product of inadequate vulnerability of urban developments.
