The Outstanding Thesis Award for Promotion IX corresponded to Raquel Ortega Rodríguez (Communication Studies) and Maria Dolores Salinas Pérez de Hita (Advertising and Public Relations).
The Temple of Jeronimos has welcomed this afternoon's emotional ceremony Scholarship and diploma, to students of the X Promotion of Graduates in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations of the UCAM.
Notably, the brand new communicators, have found a sponsor exemption in the person of a journalist, honorary president, and first Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication of the UCAM, Antonio Montoro Smithies.
The president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, presided at the ceremony, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for International Relations and Communication and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication, Pablo Blesa.
Teachers María del Carmen Robles (Audiovisual Communication) Blas Subiela (Journalism) and Mary Ascension Miralles (Advertising and Public Relations), have served as honorary professors while reading the names of students have corresponded to the vice-deans of the three grades Isabel Sarabia, Rocío Zamora and Jesus Tomas Martinez.
After reading the memory of promotion, by Francisco Luis Castaño Silva, representatives of students, imposed three scholarships to the Godfather of the promotion, Antonio Montoro, for each of the degrees in Communication.
Then Antonio Montoro has spent some touching words to the audience in which he recalled his time as Dean of the Faculty.
Montoro has stressed that journalists should be professionals, prepared, responsible, truthful and with a sense of proportion.
"This profession career, complex, quirky, controversial, honest, critical, accurate, and versatile, it has not yet been precisely defined.
Communicators, called to render great services to society, should pay their eyes and ears to those who do not.
I can say that ours is the most beautiful man-made professions, "he said.
