The Association of Young Entrepreneurs in the Region of Murcia (AJE) has developed, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Youth of the City, a survey to labor concerns Murcia high school students.
Work has been performed in ten schools in the municipality and that can draw several conclusions.
Among them, the vast majority of pupils, 99.2% - attaches great importance to continue studies as a tool to secure their future professional work.
The Councillor for Education and Employment, María Dolores Sánchez, stressed that such studies show the reality of Murcia and guide young people in carrying out projects for them. "
In regard to the situation regarding the choice of a profession, more than half of states that have already chosen, although there is wide spread in this regard.
Highlight those related to health, social, legal and business.
About half the students surveyed are unaware of studies that should take to perform a desired future profession, although a quarter of a perceived need to complete college.
Also in line with professional preferences major studies are perceived as necessary in medicine, science and biology, education and law.
In terms of entrepreneurial orientation, 64.2% of young people shows willingness to undertake self-employment initiatives.
The preferred sectors are those related to health and beauty and services to other companies, although defining specific businesses realize most do not know.
Among the most cited are the cabinets of psychology, physiotherapy and nursing homes, and businesses.
"This work aims to provide a general analysis on the perceptions of students about the importance of study, and reflection about their professional future," said Andres Romero, president of AJE.
The survey was conducted among 370 students from 14 to 16 years in the framework of seminars entitled 'You choose your future', AJE has taught in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Employment of the City of Murcia.
