The Councillor for Education and Youth, María Dolores Sánchez, director of the institute along with Pedro Valero, inaugurated this morning a workshop to encourage reading for students of the IES Juan Carlos I of Murcia.
This activity has been to a meeting with the writer Lara Cantizani, which has approached the younger the magic of poetry and music, combining creativity and sensitivity.
Participants include more than 330 students of IES 2, 3 and 4 of the ESO and 1 high school.
And will be held today and tomorrow in the hall of Local Development Agency of the City of Murcia.
Among the objectives to be achieved through this activity is to give voice to a distinguished man of literature also related to the young, as Lara Cantizani, so that students learn and appreciate the fact of literary creation.
Strengthen and consolidate the interest in reading in most of the students participating in the workshop, expanding the field of cultural interests of the student group, which only read occasionally, and present an effective tool for reading enjoyment.
In addition, they will encourage the reader interest in the student group most reluctant to read and improve the quality of reading in all students participating.
This workshop is active and has the participation of all students.
The activity is part of the extracurricular activities of the center, funded by the Department of Education and Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez.
