The eco-car prototype designed by students and faculty at the University of Murcia has remained in fifth place to get travel 297 kilometers on one liter of ethanol in the European Eco-Marathon race held in Germany and which has participated for the third year row.
This marks an improvement of 25 km on the distance traveled in the previous edition and puts the team at the University of Murcia at number 71 of the 233 participants in the overall standings, while in the category of ethanol has been in fifth position.
As for the 18 Spanish teams participating, the Murcia University is ranked number five, the only of our country that scores in the category of biofuels.
The prototype "Salzillo III" has been prepared by chemical engineering students, primarily, but also on the faculties of Computer Science, Arts and Sports Science.
