Education offers 150 more seats in its summer camps for children between 8 and 12 years (10/05/2010)

Students in the municipality of Murcia, between 8 and 12 years can participate in one of the summer camps organized by the Department of Education and Youth, which runs María Dolores Sánchez.

This year offered more than 150 places last summer, reaching the 450 seats.

In addition, it incorporates three new areas for development are the refuge camps del Valle (Murcia), Albergue Municipal de Caravaca (Fuentes del Marqués) and Camp in Residence Castelar (San Pedro del Pinatar).

Students from 3rd to 6th grade can participate in this initiative, which takes place in nature and aims of educational activities to enjoy, learn English, workshops and games with other children and play sports.

School camps have a stay of 8 days duration for groups of 45 children, with one monitor for every 9 children.

The activities begin on June 28 and end on August 2.

The price of each camp is 220 euros, the City Council funding 50% of the total.

The price includes the monitor service, activities, excursions, all meals and bus transportation).

Children wishing to participate must be registered in the municipality before May 1, 2010.

The registration period is from 12 to 21 May.

Applications are delivered to the Department of Education, C / Antwerp, No. 3.

Each applicant may request up to two camps, indicating the first and second choice.

"Sport and Nature in the Valley.

Held at the Lodge in El Valle (Murcia).

Takes place from 28 June to 5 July (45 seats for 3-4th Primary), and from 5 to 12 July (45 seats for 3-4th Primary).

-Hiking in the Fuentes del Marques.

Held at the lodge of the Marquis de Las Fuentes (Caravaca).

It made hiking, games, recognition of aromatic plants, visits to the pool, gymkhana of the environment, craft workshops, excursions on foot Jubilee Caravaca, sessions astronomy.

Takes place from 28 June to 5 July (40 places for students from 5th-6th Elementary).

Multi-Nogueras in Nerpio (Albacete).

There will be activities in nature and adventure climbing wall, monkey bridge, flying, swimming in the pool, visiting cave paintings, astronomy and games.

Be held from 5 to 12 July (45 seats for 5th and 6th grade) and from 12 to 19 July (45 seats for 5 and 6 primary).

"Sailing and Canoeing in the Mar Menor (CAR Los Narejos).

Accommodation is at the residence-inn of the High Performance Centre Infanta Cristina.

Are provided in the beach water sports including sailing, canoeing, sailing and skiing and other Olympic sports, and trip to the Island and Calblanque Perdiguera.

Takes place from 12 to 19 July (45 seats for 3rd and 4th Primary), from 19 to 26 July (45 seats for 3rd and 4th grade) and from 26 July to 2 August (50 seats for 5 and 5th Primary .)

"For a clean beach (Calnegre).

Held in the hostel Calnegre tips and raise awareness to the participating students on the fragility of the natural environment and the need for respect and protection, environmental-themed lectures, preparation of an environmental campaign for users of the beach, etc..

Takes place from 19 to 26 July (45 seats for students in grades 5 and 6 primary).

-English, sport and Mar Menor (San Pedro del Pinatar).

Accommodation is in residence The Castelar and host activities such as basketball, badminton, water sports and beach, and daily English classes with native teachers.

Will be held from 26 July to 2 August (there are 50 seats for 3rd and 4th Primary).

The City invests 195,000 euros in these activities.
