Councillor UI + LV in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, has filed a motion to the next plenary session by requesting an extension of the supply of social security programs and occupational training in order to generate employment.
Herguedas has indicated that this proposal should be realized on the basis of a study conducted by the local authorities and social partners, focusing on labor market needs and training of participants in educational programs.
In his opinion, one of the consequences of real estate development in recent years has been the early school abandonment by many young people "to claim an easy employment in sectors related to construction," which has generated greater failure rate and dropout.
"Now many of these young people have lost their jobs and tried to retake the training track, and have found that the positions of the various levels are insufficient for the new demand, so it is necessary to expand the range of programs "he concluded.
