Twelve students from the University of Murcia have gotten so many national awards and special mentions for excellence organized by the Ministry of Education to recognize the merits of the best academic records.

Luis Montalban Soler and Alicia Rodríguez Guirao have achieved the first national awards in Optics and Business, respectively, while Maria Angeles Rodríguez Alonso has won the third prize in Spanish Philology, Marina Martin Melgarejo, Environmental Sciences, Ana María Giménez Gualdo, in Social Education, and Salvador Gil Guirado, in Geography.

The University of Murcia has also achieved a national second prize, in this case, Labor Relations, Francisco Miguel Ortiz González-Conde.

Special mentions were awarded to Marta Lorenzo Lopez of Biochemistry, Fabiola Ferrería Soler, Psychology, Antonio Martinez Alcaraz, Fine Arts, Antonio Domingo García Ramos, Spanish Philology and Madrigal Manuel Canovas, history.

The University of Murcia institutional soon offer a tribute to these students.
