Cardiology Service of the Hospital "Virgen de la Arrixaca", directed by Professor of the University of Murcia Mariano Valdés has earned the distinction that identifies you as a center of excellence.

The center becomes one of only three hospitals in Spain, along with the Galdakao-Usansolo of Bilbao and the Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona, to have this recognition.

The delivery of the distinction has been made during the First Meeting of Centres of Excellence in Cardiology held in Barcelona, which aims to disseminate the experience cardiology community of Spanish hospitals in projects of excellence as teachers and care researchers.
