The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has met this morning with the Ambassador of Guatemala in Spain, Anamaria Dieguez, who is visiting the city.
Much of the meeting held at City Hall, has been on the optimal use of water, a subject on which specializes Murcia and has expert.
Immigration, European Union trade relations and other issues have been addressed.
Dieguez, who has come to City Hall accompanied by the Consul, Antonio Bernal, began on Tuesday a visit to the region in order to publicize the realities of their country, "the unknown sister."
In ancient tradition, Guatemala works to reduce economic and social contrasts and improve the quality of life for its citizens.
Among the main challenges facing the nation emphasizes the improvement of health, employment, improving coverage and quality in primary and secondary education, the fight against poverty and the eradication of domestic violence.
