Environment has funded more than 200 solar thermal installations in less than eight years (21/04/2010)

The Department of Environment has awarded grants that have allowed since 2002, will expand by 200 the number of buildings and houses in Murcia have solar heating systems.

The Board of Governors approved the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia (Alem) monitor and verify the efficiency of fifteen of these facilities located in Murcia (eight), Espinardo, La Albatalía, La Alberca, Los Garres, Bridge bacon, San José de la Vega and Sangonera la Verde.

The aim is to make building data, orientation angles, the system design criteria, efficiency, circuits, solar energy supply, losses and efficiency of the plant and the taking of photographs representative.

This service is a project action Prost and 50% is funded by the European Union.

The record of solar is incorporated in pursuance of Article 11 of the Municipal Solar Uptake.

This article states that the City of Murcia will create a register of installations covered by the ordinance, noting the environmental benefits achieved, for the purpose of statistical tracking the effects of implementing it.

Murcia City Council was the first project partners PROSTAR approve the ordinance at the end of 2008, making it one of the more advanced partners in the project, providing expertise and advice to others.
