Councilman José Manuel Abellán PSOE presented a motion demanding the full municipal PP once take all necessary steps to really protect the archaeological remains.

The site of San Esteban, "recalls Abellán-remains abandoned and in two months, deterioration in the light of all the neighbors of Murcia which provide unpleasantly surprised as the City and the CARM are neglected and without lifting a finger to preserve and protect to the persistent rains that have fallen on him, a total of 200.7 liters from last December.

Abellán regrets that the municipal government is claiming revenge on the site of San Esteban.
"They wanted to make a parking lot and like never leaving are repaying the findings from drowning four plastic covered shameful."
Thus the socialist mayor said "we can not sit idly by watching the City Council of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and leave on their own cultural heritage belonging to all Murcia."
In this sense, Abellán considered an obligation of both governments respect and preservation of that site which, if managed well, can revitalize the downtown, taking into account the undeniable historical value of the remains.
"They should preserve the findings in the same place they have been found and excavations end to expose our rich heritage," insists Councillor PSOE.
