The dialogue and participation have been the basis of projects submitted to the Local Investment Fund (03/02/2010)

20% of the expenditure budget will be devoted to current social and educational programs and is expected to give jobs to 1,357 unemployed

Murcia City Council has submitted a total of 121 projects to the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability.

This is a series of projects of which 20% of the investment will return, as the Central Government decree itself, to finance current expenditure, social and educational programs.

The rest will be used in various investments.

The Fund provided a total investment of 46,547,892 euros for Murcia.

The 20% allocated to social spending is 9,328,235.

Therefore, the investment in the investment is 37,219,657.

According to forecasts, the 121 projects carried out in the municipality of Murcia will employ a total of 1,357 unemployed, although it should be noted that this number can vary, as stated in the specifications.

Dialogue and participation have been the base that underpinned the selection of projects submitted to the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010.

Thus, prior to the choice of projects, the Government Team of the City of Murcia has carried out a series of meetings with different groups and associations in the municipality and various meetings with local boards of districts and neighborhoods.

The purpose of these meetings has been to accommodate as many ideas and suggestions from all sectors of society Murcia, in order to establish an order of priorities.

The projects to be carried out focusing on the following lines:

Construction of community centers, cultural and youth.

- Construction of schools in the districts and neighborhoods of Guadalupe, El Progreso, El Ranero, Sangonera la Seca, Beniaján-La Azacaya and El Palmar, among others.

- Rehabilitation and expansion works of different schools in Llano de Brujas, El Palmar, Beniaján and in the College García Alix, Murcia, and the Center for Social and Economic Initiatives.

Construction of bicycle lanes and bicycle parking.

- Construction of bicycle lanes in Butte River in the stretch between La Fica and El Raal, and in various neighborhoods and districts.

- Connecting bicycle lanes between the Regional Library and Zarandona.

- Construction of bicycle parking areas in various parts of the municipality of Murcia.

Rehabilitation of schools.

Rehabilitation works of schools in El Palmar, Zeneta, Javalí Nuevo, Los Garres, Churra, TorreagĂźera, Murcia and Beniaján Center, among others.

Intervention and preparation of 80 public school playgrounds.

Sports.

Construction of new sports area in El Palmar.

Rehabilitation of sports facilities in San José de la Vega, Santo Angelo, Beniaján, Sangonera the Green, Bacons Bridge and Llano de Brujas, among others.

Interventions in sports facilities in a number of schools in the municipality.

Supply and sanitation in different parts of neighborhoods and districts.

- Construction of sanitation in Track Shoes (Holy Angel), rail Canalaos (Beniscornia corner), Lane Isidoros (Aljucer), several lanes in TorreagĂźera, El Palmar, Bacons Bridge, Monteagudo, Algezares, El Raal, Barrio del Progreso, Santa Cruz, etc.

Environment.

Generating electricity by solar photovoltaic panels on the roofs of municipal buildings.

Burying of containers and collection points in Murcia town and villages.

Environmental recovery and Altaona Escalona saws.

Renovation of lighting low.

Road Safety.

Construction of roundabouts at various points.

Improved intersections and crossings.

Installation of signs and traffic lights.

New technologies.

Installation of computer classrooms in districts and neighborhoods.

New systems of communication and promotion of electronic administration.
