The neighborhood of San Antón today elected women and most of the year on the occasion of their patron saint.
It is the first time welcomes this initiative and, as the President of the District Board, José Luis Vicente, underway will continue in subsequent years.
This act is one more being made these days of celebration after a year of hard work.
The elect have been Maria Dolores Jimenez and Angel Castillo Asunción Navarro, and the awards have been given in the Social Center of the neighborhood.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Health and Social Services, Fulgencio Cervantes, who has been involved in the delivery of distinctions.
At the same event have also been handed the prizes to the winners of the tournament and dominated ludo.
José Luis Vicente explains that this act is a recognition of groups of women and the elderly.
"They are a very important part in society and many of them collaborate actively in the activities organized by the center throughout the year."
Moreover, this afternoon also took place the traditional blessing of the rolls of St. Anton in the chapel of the district.
