Inaugurated the first exhibition Ramón Gaya to mark the centenary of his birth (13/01/2010)

Councillor for Culture and European Programmes, Fatima Barnuevo, last night attended the first of all acts which have been prepared to commemorate the birth centenary of the painter Ramon Gaya.

This is the exhibition 'close Gaya', an exhibition that can be accessed at the Museum that bears the name of the artist, located in the Plaza Santa Catalina.

The exhibition, organized by the Municipality of Murcia, Cajamurcia Foundation and the Museum, consists of 46 photographs by Isabel Verdejo, wife of the painter.

They show the artist at different times of her life from traveling to meetings with friends like the writer Andrew Trapiello, poets and Tomas Eloy Sánchez Rosillo Segovia and the painter Pedro Serna.

The exhibition will be open until March 29, the date on which opens the next sample of the painter Ramon Gaya Museum.

The ceremony was also attended by the director of the Museum, Manuel Fernández Delgado, and Pascual Garcia, manager of the Foundation Cajamurcia.
