Los Reyes Magos gifts distributed at school for orphans of Santa Teresa Street, the Prison and Arrixaca (05/01/2010)

In the Grand Parade this afternoon involving 500 people and divided thousand kilos of sweets and 12,000 chocolate coins

Their Majesties the Kings of the East, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar, have had a busy schedule this morning visiting various parts of town to distribute gifts to children.

The Magi were accompanied by their pages, the Star and the stars and the Councillor for Fiestas and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez.

The royal party visited the school for orphans of Santa Teresa Street, first thing in the morning, where they distributed gifts and sweets to children.

Have subsequently come to the Green Sangonera prison, where they delivered gifts to the children of women prisoners.

The visits have ended in maternal-child of the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca where they have also distributed toys among the children admitted to the center.

Subsequently, the Kings have come to the Glorieta camel where, from the balcony of City Hall, have greeted the kids who were waiting and have offered a welcome to the smallest in the Plenary Hall.

This afternoon, from 18.30 to leave the procession of the Magi from the Carmelite church.

More than 500 people will participate in this great parade in which a thousand kilos of sweets distributed and 12,000 chocolate coins.

A total of 45 elements form the Christmas Parade which will fill the streets of Murcia of illusion and fantasy.
