Socialist Councilman José Manuel Abellán file a motion in the full municipal defense Thursday in the conservation and enhancement of the findings of San Esteban.

Everybody wins

"The City of Murcia," he insists, "should make this initiative viable because it is a proposal that everyone wins."

"Win the architects and quantity surveyors, government, construction companies and their employees, students, universities, young archaeologists, business and tourism workers, small businesses and our city, which will be known and promoted in around the world. "

New location

Thus, Abellán talk about the need to locate the future parking in another area.

"We still have time to save this space for the future and progress of Murcia, so the mayor House should reconsider the location of parking and make it compatible with the maintenance and enhancement of the history of our city."

Interpretation Centre

Similarly, the PSOE mayor asked the convening of a competition for the drafting of a global project that enhances the remains found in the area as well as the creation of an interpretive center of the city.

Promote wealth and employment

In this sense, Abellán remind the mayor that this is a unique opportunity that we can not lose to drive wealth and jobs and boost the tourism image of Murcia.

"We did not find anyone to lose with this proposal."
