Sixty people benefit from the services provided by Day Care Centers and Alzheimer's breaks and Torres Cabezo Beniaján.
The Board of Governors has approved the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration to finance activities carried out in the center and improve the care offered to older people in the municipality.
Users receive meals (breakfast, lunch and snack) care and basic care (grooming, hygiene, clothing, posture changes, accompanying movements ...).
Also conduct activities aimed at training the skills of self improvement, establishing proper hygiene habits, occupational activities, functional recovery, leisure and cultural activities, development of activities to promote communication with others, integration into school life, etc.
In the center of Cabezo de Torres will be offered 30 seats (15 for people with Alzheimer's and 15 for people over 60 years with limited autonomy) and Beniaján other 30 seats will be offered.
Service users are older than 60 years who have reduced their personal autonomy and those over 60 who suffer from Alzheimer's.
To make this work centers each have a supervisor (coordinator who will be psychologist or pedagogue), five or geriatric nursing assistants, a physiotherapist, a nurse and a driver.
The Autonomous Community supports each of these centers with 39,611 euros, with total investment of 79,222 euros.
The City has three day stays centers in Beniaján, head of Torres and Barriomar-La Purisima.
